New Features and Improvements
Modules Exclusively in ChildPlus Online
ENTRY EXPRESS and MANAGEMENT modules are now exclusively in ChildPlus Online with enhanced capabilities and improved performance. These modules are no longer available in ChildPlus Desktop. Learn more about this change in the Guidance Hub.
ChildPlus Desktop Modules Moving to ChildPlus Online
The SERVICE module is moving from ChildPlus Desktop to ChildPlus Online in summer 2026.

General
RESPONSIBLE STAFF / CASE WORKERS fields in ChildPlus Online now exclude inactive personnel by default and feature an INCLUDE INACTIVE PERSONAL checkbox. You can also search for personnel by typing directly into these fields.
CDD-801A
ENROLLMENT
The inactive drop-down items listed as inactive now display INACTIVE FOR CDD-801A as the message in ChildPlus Online and ChildPlus Desktop.
ChildPlus automatically populates certain blank fields with default data when you select a PROGRAM CODE.
Communication
We have added REPORT 4710 - COMMUNICATION APP - MESSAGE ENGAGEMENT REPORT to provide you with accurate messaging metrics between families and staff and demonstrate compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards.
ChildPlus Communication App
Notifications are now turned on by default to ensure that families are receiving communications from your agency. Users can turn off notifications as needed.
We have updated how the ChildPlus Communication App handles signing out when the app is refreshed.
When a signed-in user's session expires, the ChildPlus Communication App now displays a message to help them understand why they must sign back in.
Family Income
ChildPlus Online now includes the option to update ELIGIBILITY INCOME in ENROLLMENT when FAMILY INCOME is updated for existing applicants.
