I’m seeing a lot of tickets heading to Rich about people not being able to see their enrolled kids, etc. I just wanted to remind you, and you can remind your staff, that the change to the new program year necessitates changes to what a person is looking for in ChildPlus.
First, someone asked about not being able to see enrolled kids for the 2022-2023 year. That’s right. After the program year ended in June, there are no ENROLLED kids in the 2022-2023 program year. They’re all marked at Completed Program Term. The only children who can be ENROLLED are those in the 2023-2024 program year. And only if they have showed up to class and been set to ENROLLED in ChildPlus by a C&F sup or other permission wielding person.
In ChildPlus, to see you new kids, you have to use the Selection Pane to choose current year and Enrolled to see those kids. In the first weeks, it’s probably wise when looking at your classrooms to select both ENROLLED and ACCEPTED to both who is there and who should be there but hasn’t been marked as enrolled yet.
This is not an automatic process in ChildPlus. Staff MUST choose the correct settings for all reports, and must manually update settings in the Services/Participant list to see current year and ENROLLED (or enrolled and accepted). This apples to the online ChildPlus and the Performance Panels as well.
iPad attendance will not work until a child is marked as ENROLLED, then they show up in the classroom list. Until that point, all meals and attendance for kids has to be entered manually until they are marked as ENROLLED.
Also, if teachers are reassigned to different classrooms someone MUST let Rich know ASAP. We have to mark which teachers have access to which classrooms so they can see their data in ChildPlus.
Feel free to get back to Richard Woolf or me if you have any questions.
